OKAMA Receives Response from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA)

Posted almost {{count}} years ago

The Oklahoma Ambulance Association (OKAMA) has been working this legislative session with the OTA to resolve some issues regarding emergency vehicles and the use of the Turnpike System. The OTA has responded to our concerns with a letter that covers most of the issues that have been discussed. Their response adds some administrative steps that would have to be done each month, but ambulances transporting patients without lights and sirens or returning from transport destinations should be considered “operating in performance of official duties.” For more information please see the attached letter.
