OKAMA's purpose is to provide an organized and unified voice for ambulance services to intermediaries, legislators, and regulatory bodies, as well as develop and promote a code of ethics for ambulance services. In the attached document you will find a “summary” of the Interim Report currently in the Public Health and Social Services Subcommittee/Appropriations and Budget Committee. This report calls for “a Study of emergency medical services in regard to structure and financing of ambulance services on state and local levels”.
